Aside from their practical daily uses, textiles also have a deep-rooted history as storytelling instruments. (Inter)woven is an exhibition that aims to celebrate fibre-based and fibre-inspired practices by showcasing a number of regional artists who work with textiles in a variety of ways. The array of works in the exhibition are a few examples of how diversely the medium is used, including as a form of narrative. Simultaneously, common elements are also apparent among the works in terms of process, texture and form.
