Born in Southwestern Ontario in 1974, Anita Dolman is a poet and freelance writer and editor. Her work has appeared in Grain magazine, Geist, Utne, The Fiddlehead, Latchkey.net, Prism International, ottawater, The Antigonish Review, as well as in her first chapbook, Scalpel, tea and shot glass (above/ground press, 2004) and the anthology Decalogue: ten Ottawa poets (Chaudiere Books, 2006). She gratefully acknowledges the financial support of the City of Ottawa.
Born and raised in Beijing, China, Bing He moved to Canada in 1992. She has published widely in magazines and newspapers in Canada and China and is the special correspondent for Global Weekly (Chinas Times). Her first English poetry book, Alphabet Zen, has received critical acclaim, and she has since been interviewed by CBC, Literature Press Group, and Radio Canada International. She appeared at the Ottawa International Writers Festival in 2005, and has received two arts grants from the City of Ottawa. Her book review column by Xinhua News Agency (equivalent to CBC) has appeared on all major websites in China, Canada and Hong Kong. She is also a visual artist and photographer, and currently lives in Ottawa.
