Roland Prevost lives, works, and writes in Ottawa. His first chapbook, Metafizz (Bywords, 2007), was part of the John Newlove Poetry Award chapbook series. His poetry has also appeared in Ottawater 3.0, Variations Art Zine, Bywords Quarterly Journal, and the Peter F. Yacht Club, among others. He publishes some poetry-circle work under his Wordsters Press. He keeps an allsorts lifelong journal, and loves to observe the night sky through his various telescopes.
Joanne Proulx is a graduate of Humber College's creative writing mentorship program, and has had short stories published in Exile: The Literary Quarterly, Maisonneuve, and Upstairs at Duroc (a literary magazine out of Paris). Her debut novel, Anthem of a Reluctant Prophet, published by Penguin Canada in May 2007, was chosen by the Globe and Mail as one of the best debuts of the year. The novel will be published by Picador (UK), Soho Press (USA), and Arena (Netherlands) in early 2008. Joanne currently lives in Ottawa, Ontario.
The Max Middle Sound Project is an Ottawa-based performance poetry ensemble consisting of writers John Lavery and Max Middle. The Project was formed in 2004, and was part of the Ottawa Fringe Festival that year. In 2005, the Project was featured in the Ottawa International Writers Festival. In 2007, Lavery and Middle performed in the Test, Tree & Grey Borders Reading Series and at a special event in Buffalo, New York. Samples of work can be found at http://www.maxmiddle.com/files.html.
